I was born in Footscray an inner western suburb of Melbourne Australia, once a prime area for industry. There were four boys under the age of five and my twin brother and I are the youngest. The city was too big and fast for my father who preferred life in the country so the family moved to Dampier Western Australia and then finally settled in Albury/Wodonga part of North East Victoria.
My father and mother, also a product of the Inner west suburbs of Melbourne had a very strong connection to the area even though their young family led them to a life in the country. Reflecting on my past experiences as a child and young man, a life in the country instilled in me several integral dispositions:
Today I am involved in various forms of image making, teaching and the Visual Arts. As the co-ordinator of the middle years Visual Arts faculty at Melbourne Grammar School, I am constantly emersed in a life of Art & storytelling. I currently live in the inner south-east suburbs of Melbourne with my wife and young family.
